Is finnciti a scam? a layman perspective

Recently, thru a friend introduced me a platform finnciti (previously known as smicap) where you can multiple your investment in folds. The return as per quoted is up to 100% just by holding your investment on hand. I was skeptical and interested at the same time so I went online to do a little research on my own. It is not difficult to return result by just searching:

"Is finnciti a scam" or "Is smicap a scam". Reviews were in mixed bag. Some mention that they earned big bucks and its a platform for normal people to get richer while some other point out some resemblance of a scam structure and therefore classified finnciti as a scam platform.

I am a layman using basic logic to analyst the concept and by no mean I am advising to invest or against it. But in my humble opinion, ALL INVESTMENT POSSESSES RISK AND PLEASE BE PRUDENT WHEN DOING ANY KINDS INVESTMENT AND ONLY INVEST IN YOUR MONEY THAT YOU CAN BEAR LOSING.

SMICAP was established in 2007 by Singaporean Simon Ng(黄彦清) and subsequently renamed to finnciti in 2012, at point of writing the company is 9 years old. I do not want to touch base on the history of the company as there are website like http://finnciti.blogspot.sg/ out there providing better information.

In China, Fuzhou, at least. He is under investigation.

How does it work?

The game had limited number of robot, you can view its as "token". Basically anythings that are limited with more demand will make the token price to increase in value. When new sign up comes in, value up and existing player get to profit from the price increase of the robots that they initially had. The game is designed in a new that the price of the robot can only increase but do not decrease.

How can a system increase in value infinitely? 

This is how its works, assuming that the robot is 30cents each. You holds 10 unit of robots so the total value you have is $3. Imagine the price goes up to 60cents each robot the designer of the game do a splitting of robot. So instead of 60cent of 10 robots, you now instead have 20 robots of 30cents. (simple illustration) In a way to help balance out the supply and demand. Noted that although now the robots increase in quality, but the value is adjusted to be the same.

If everyone earns money, how the money comes from?

analogy: like if you buy a house for 50k, and the demand is appreciated to 100k. The new buyer buy the house for 100k. You gained 50k profit but the buyer loses 100k from the pocket. (money had to be come in somewhere). So before the new buyer can profit form the house he brought he needs to speculate and wait for newer buyer to buy the house from him.

Just that instead of buy/sell house, you are buy/sell virtue token/robot/unit or whatsoever they want to call that. Its a paper value of something virtue and non existence. Just like forex you are buying the surface value of something without actually owing anything except the contract.

Is it a ponzi scheme or a scam?

Ponzi scheme is often the concept of taking new comers joining fee and pays it to the existing overwriter. But because of the high amount of guaranteed returns, the scheme is fail at some point of time. So no, I don't consider finnciti as a ponzi scheme.

A system that is sustainable compared to ponzi scheme is that all the level of particant need to profit from the platform. Finnciti tried to take it slow and make sure everyone is profitable so like MLM, the designer, pioneer batch and the veteran existing user will no doubt gain from the system. But one thing is the money cannot be reproduced for thin air hence the money will have to be coming out from the new comer. The leverage and damage will transferred to the newer hirer and so on and so fore. So in another words, in my humble opinion as long as there are new comer or recruit, the existing players are still capable of gaining from the system.

To I support the concept?

I do like the way it was designed so that the poorer group of people do benefit and I actually thinks that they can earn money thru the platform. However I really advise only to play with money that you can bear losing.

In the nutshell, finnciti contain certain elements of MLM and its do not consider a scam unless the company resolve and folds. Its open to public srutinity so if you are confident that the market will be confident. Ultimately it will only be as strong as the faith of the people willing to believe in it.

dream of PEILIN and nightmare

This is the first time in my dream, I got scare out of a nightmare and shiver and cry over the dream content. It was so real and I actually felt scare for the first time.

Dreams are hard to remember. So I called PL and told me the moment I woke up and ask her to help me remember the details of the dream.

The dream starts off as a normal dream which random events happening and its the randomize of those event makes it seem so real. Its not a story board of logic flow. But part of the dream just came together.

11 century hotel staycation

11 century hotel is not bad a place to stay in consider the price. The lobby and walkway were a but run down but at the the rooms are nice. Regular room starting from $169 riggit onward at Johor, near KSL. It was first introduced to me by qing he. 

I need to go in to do my Kelisa. KSL is near to all the service and accessories workshop. Hotel was just opposite KSL and holiday plaza for electronic stuff shopping. And there are multiple of massage salon all over the place to keep u occupied for the night. If you are driving, Taman sentosa and taman garden is just stone throw away. 

For the short staycation, we had our seafood dinner at taman garden. Check in after mid night at 11 century and watch 我们相爱吧 together. 

The next day went to KSL and holiday plaza for shopping. 

Went over to doi chaang coffee outlet nearby to have a coffee fix. We initially thot that this coffee is from vietnam but actually its not. The speciality in house ice coffee was nice. 

Things was turning out better for me. I guess all the perservence was well worth my effort. The future holding bright ahead for us. I need to faster get back a proper career to start planning plans. Everything will get better. 

JB with kelisa xiao bai

These few days I been in and out of JB with many friends. Due to the favt that Kelisa needs some love from our neighbour for fuel, car wash, parts and mods. Going in with Angel to tint the glass and installation of electric door lock. Stopped for supper at frog leg too. Got to go thai massage while waiting for the workshop to find up the job. 

Went in again the next day and stayed over a night. He con me saying thats an appointment the next day.

Then in the end. He go and see thai monk to put tattoo. I think its for protection bah. 

Before coming back put xiao bai to workshop to mod the led light and HD light for inside. This shop is good. Will to give discount and put in extra effort to assist stuff off the scope. 

Put the japanese imported roof rack onto kelisa. Wanna go for mira gino body kit. But reckon might have some problem on inspection because of headlight modification. Drop the idea to convert to gino. I found a ex gino owner willing to sell the whole kit plus exhaust plus wheel for $400. What a steal. But end up didnt exceise the option.

Xiao Bai (perodua kelisa) for Xiao Huang (swift sport) and why

Still remember xiao huang mah? Its my suzuki swift sport, very well taken care of from previous owner. Even 8 years old the car almost look like new car from inside out. All equipment are lightly used and even the exterior was very well taken care of. It was one of the best ride I have brought. But well, actual I just had one car before that which is xiao hei, Picanto.

Now if you ask me why did I buy xiao huang for? Other than the obvious that Picanto reach its 10 years I had to scrap away. But I do not need a car when I was working in my line. Taking MRT and Public is the best option and I do not have any need for vehicle. Other than because of her.

Having a weekend car mean that I can drive the car after 7pm and why do I need to drive the car. Purely because it conducive and I want to spend more time with her. Be it watching our show in the car or the small chat while sending her back home. I brought xiao huang because I wanna upgrade the ride for her. You might not even believe me but it true. Its for you.

And we did have our fair share of fun inside the vehicle. We spend Christmas in it, count down in it. Eat in it, camp in it, sleep in it. In between work, be it hers or mine we steal some time spending quality accompany in it. Xiao huang is like our little child, you went to view him together, buy together and I even sold off the car together. That's right. We had aborted xiao huang and that is of course with a valid reason. 

I had a transition of job, in another I got out of job. Without income flow, I am not able to substantial the monthly overhead of the yellow beauty. We make a collectively discussion and agree its financially not advisable for us to have a xiao huang. Although it is really a good performance car and I had spend quite some money too to upgrade the ride as well. So there he goes. Served us well for the past 6 months. 

So during my one month (May 2016) of unemployment, I basically is a stay home kid. So why do I need a car anyway. But well, because of missing the convenient of transport and hide out place, the time we spend with each other had lessen. Of course during this period you are also occupied with other person. But to bring us closer, without a car is not an opinion for me. I decided to find an alternate ride to let us go back to good old time. And yes, I buy my 3rd car because of you. Purely. as I do not need a car in my following job and at the time I brought the car I was still slacking at home.

So happened for me to come across xiao bai. You know why I like this model so much. I had told you  on so many occasion why this model is appealing to me. You also say that you wouldn't mind even if this is consider a downgrade of ride :) I had been keeping a look out for a suitable price and condition to commit into. 

I was so impluse that I went down to view and straight away I placed my deposit even though I told you the condition were not the best that I have seen. I almost can say that it was having the worst condition compared to huang and hei. But nonetheless, there are some good point about this bai that make me want to reserve it on the spot. I was counting down the days to collect the car. I was also afraid that you might not like the condition or even the model cause you didn't went to test drive the car together. Lucky, when I picked you at your workplace, you seem to be pleasantly satifised with the car as much as me. I was glad that my decision to take it didn't disappoint you. For the price that I am paying, this is top of the class with very low depreciation every year. Economic in another words.

Xiao Bai aka the Perodua Kelisa. A very budget compact car that was the most widely sold in Malaysia. I told people that I had brought SLK instead. Thats because SLK stands for "Small little Kelisa" of backward is KLS "KeLiSa". So from today onward please tell people that Gary had got myself a kelisa. 

Well, first to drive a Kelisa you need to be someone of attitude. Its big character packed in compact package. Kelisa is often anti selected due to the generalizations and discrimination that Malaysia is not so good of a car producer compared to more expensive counter part like the Japanese, Korean and European car. That was totally not true. Because the Perodua is built to save your pocket and last you a life time. 

They are economical, cheap on parts and built so that its affordable and they are available to anyone who wish to own a car. Actually in the core, its running Daihatsu engine a Japanese brand. It a make over from Japanese engine so you will get the performance and fuel efficiency of a Japanese robust engine.

Other than the more old looking internal dash board, the exterior is very subjective, no everyone can handle the design of the car but that was something so appealing to me, they do actually looked cute like the Mini and Mira. 

On top of that, its so cheap, the parts are abundant in Malaysia and very customizable to have your own unique look. Since it was a staple in Malaysia, servcing and modification is readily available use across the causeway.  

All in all, it is a very value for money ride to drive in. But not for faint hearted. Most importantly, you need to feel good in any car you drive in. For me it does.

SBK event trip Sepang 2016

On one random sunny day, I got a call from Ethan, asking if I would like to join him in a free event to KL for motor GP like event. I agreed without a thought, cause I am currently in between job. Free time I have. Just like that so suddenly off I go to Sepang, Kuala Lumpur.

One of the good thing about this event, although we have to pay for hotel and flight, but we do get VVIP pass to access VIP lounge and Motul sponsor us on venue and food to go along inside the lounge.

SBK = Super Bike which is tantamount to the motor GP just like those car racing inside a circuit. I never knew what was so excited about the motor cycling around a looped track. I was about to find out. Enlightened by Ethan. 

Bike racing is not all about speed. Its about persistency, precision, skill, decisiveness and the thrill of passing other bikes in close proximity and within near crash distance. Even the distance is 1 sec behind you are world behind, because everyone is racing at the best capacity it not like you have special nitrogen to bust thru infront of others like you watch on TV.

It kinda teach me something on life lesson. Career perception on how to become the best in what you are doing.

Car / Motor show, something they are not all about the bike. Side note I do like the Kawasaki crusier on top that is in orange color. Of course those ladies in green is something also appealing to me. Haha

I had a fetish for malaysia car. They are not as bad as people in my country think they are. The local production had came a long way and they are quite well know for the typical aspect these malaysia car provide. They are cheap in production, good in efficiency and light to pocket. Some of the most epic car like Kelisa was even widely sold in UK. 

The love the old school look of malaysia car. The attitude when you drive in one of them. I telling the world that you do not care about looks and don't give a shit about what people think about you. You got an attitude about wanting something that serve it purpose and not something to be shown off to other people. Money can be put in better use. 

I do not know about them before I went Sepang, they are basically the winner for the two days when we watch the show.

Other than bike I bring Ethan to my favorite place for breakfast. I think its near lot 10. If not within lot 10. Wide selection of hongkong style dishes all in one place like the 美食街. The hotel that we stayed in is recommendable too. Federal hotel is within close proximity to all major attraction, all of them within walking distance. The hotel also provide good restaurant with buffet on oyster, crab, crayfish etc. Very value in money around $50 per night. Highly recommend to put yourself in if you visit KL in the near future.

UMI+VINO to celebrate bday

5th May is PL birthday, celebrate slightly later with her. Since I sold of my xiao huang, our time together had been compromised by the inconvenient of travelling. Since so long before I met her up to bring her eat lavishly despite I already had stopped income stream.

We hang around Suntec and Marine Square and decided to settled in one of the fine dining Japanese restaurant near Marine Square. UMI+VINO. They had a good spread of oyster, my favorite and at the point they are having lobster 1 for 1 if paying by OCBC credit card. The lobster alone cost 40++ per dish per person. End up, we didn't pay thru OCBC, so didn't manage to get the saving. Dinner that night damage me for $200+. Well on the sliver lining, it was my first time trying out lobster. By the way, it just tasted like crayfish.

Present, although not as exciting as the one I gave her on Christmas. But it was also one of the series from DKNY a long wallet. Kinda find that the present I brought for her although I had put in a lot of effort making as practical as possible so that she can use it on a regular basis, she seem not loving them enough to replace her old one. 

Tobi, is having a new BOTAK cut, and from the furry dog to this skinny dog. After his hair cut, he run super run and jump around like crazy deer. He had thought the hair removed from his body had make him with better grip and lighter weight.

Mum had been spoiling him so much. He now attitude liao. Doesn't like to eat dog food and learn to bite owner hand. Although he just nimble, but I was very strict on that, he can't cultivate this habit or in the future he may learn to bite people. 

A regular session with DSO. Some left, some rises and some from other bank. Drink drank and drunk.

Ethan is married. No more single friend

My best friend just got married. I thought we had told each other that marriage is not for us. Guess he is lying and he found his true love before me. 

Just saw Jackson from some long ago. Last time saw him was in 2011 during his wedding dinner. And ironically that was when i got ditched with ur ex girlfriend. Thinking back. Oh it was 5 years ago. And i had not been dating any girl since then. Dating have but was not committed together with any girl yet. Now my savest bet is hsiong wei. If he get married before me. I kill myself. Haha. 

This one taken on 美图, didi said it did no magic on her. The app only useful on me. So bad. Really got so much different meh. 

All the single lady, i am thinking. Am i that bad or lousy that i can remain single for 5 years? No one see value in me meh? I think i am dusty jade. It extremely valuable if you willing to pick it up and polish a bit. I just feel like a trash laying on the floor even begger didnt want to pick me up. Haha.
