OBS Sailing adventure course rock my socks!!! Like totally...

I really learn and bring back a lots of value back for this 5 days course. That's what a professional camp should be right? A lesson I picked up, don't be complacent. There's always a new experience in everything. Even going through the same thing, you will get a different experience. Never stop learning. Don't be complacent!!
Speaking back on the camp itself, the main highlight of course is able to sail a cutter ship.

Cutter is operated by a team of few people. One captain in charge of looking for wind direction, as the ship basically used wind to sail distance. A few will have to control the main sail, which was used to capture the wind for acceleration. Aiya, basically my description sucks lah. Just use your imagination..

Wah, its very exciting when you are sailing through the stormy weather I tell you. The boat sway till the tip like its almost going to capsize. Then the wind so strong and unpredictable, we had to react like super fast as to manage to sail in our desired direction without head onto some other ship around us. It damn exciting and to me as I had a chance to be in a captain post. Its a once in a life time experience, I am so glad I went to this course.

Another highlight of the course, rock climbing!! Of course not, haha.. Although no chance to try it but we did try the "honor" jump. We suppose to climb up a 3 storey high plaform and jump to a bar 2m away from us, while shouting our vision for our future. Muthafucker, its damn scary lah, okie lah.. Call me ball-less or ah gua loh.. I always is so gay one mah.

Okie, I think I stop bothering you all with my wordy post.. Just a quote for you to ponder about tonight.
《儒效篇》荀子曰:
"不闻不若闻之,闻之不若见之,见之不若知之,知之不若行之;学至于行之而止矣。"
"Not hearing is not as good as hearing, hearing is not as good as seeing, seeing is not as good as mentally knowing, mentally knowing is not as good as acting; true learning continues up to the point that action comes forth (or, only when a thing produces action can it be said to have been truly learned)."
"what I hear, I forget. what I see, I remember. what I do, I learn.
*UPDATED*
a write out of my journal during OBS
Day 1:
Yesterday was the first day. We played the acid pool. I realized that communication was very important, if everyone rushed to be the leader, then who's going to be the follower that carrys out the task? 2nd game we had to complete a random puzzle. It was actually a full story, each of us carries 2 pieces of the puzzle. No one else can see anyone's puzzle except for yourself seeing the 2 pieces that you are holding. You can describe your pieces and get the puzzle arranged in the correct order. Communication and invlovement is very important here. If everyone is to give their 100% but one gives 0%. The whole story of puzzle is not going to be completed. Everyone had to participant in the game. At least that was what it seem to tell me.
Day 2:
2nd morning, I already regretted coming to OBS. It's not the course that turns me off, its myself. I am just so sick of camps. Seriously, what can I bring out from this camp? I will wait and see.
A story from the instructor - There were is pencil maker. He made a lot of pencil and just before he send this pencil to the market to sell, he told one of the pencil. "It's what inside that is more important. But you only expose your inside only when you go through bitterly sharpening. People only realize your potential if you allow yourself to be in other people's hand. If you make a mistake, fear not. Because there will always be an eraser around. Never be afraid to leave staces of life whenever you go because that's why you are make for."
Day 3:
Yesterday, I had the chance to sail a cutter. It wasn't all that exciting, because the instructor is on board with us. He will always be there to correct us and not let us be sailing in the wrong directions. Everthing was spoon fed to us till the moment I became the captain of the cutter myself. I had the power to overturn the boat, It was that serious. A wrong move at a wrong timing that cause unimaginable diseaster.
Day 4:
I had been counting down day 4. My shit is at my throat already. I had not been shitting for the past 3 days. Tini snore fucking loud last night. There was a big storm, boat swaying up and down, and I am very bored of sailing.
Day 5:
Finally, came the last day. I don't miss the OBS course itself, but I definitely missed my watches that accompanied me these few days. The sailing course was exciting when we were going through storm and huge tides. Where the cutter swayed almost the the tip of the boat. Felt like going to overturn. Very exciting. Yesterday night walk was so so. Because I had went through worst situation. But I know its a very good effort on the committee/ instructor sides. Overall, this course still took way a few of my 'first time'. Liek urine into the sea on a cutter, Waiting to jump into the sea early in the morning to kiss the tip of the boat to ensure a safe journey. First time bathing in a quary. First time eating dinner with our hand tied. Overall I took away some ideas on how to better organize my next camp for people. Like their morning 'greeting' was very interesting. The way, they give quotes during debriefs. Some interesting stories. All these idea gives me idea to better organize my next camp.
Follow by the honor jump which I am one of the two in the watch that able to grab the pole.
