As you might know, I am super proud of my multimedia all in one N82 had been stolen before I came Australia, therefore I can't exploit its function during my 8 weeks internship. Which means no techno techno reviews, no online searching for hack and cheats which then made my life super boring here.

I was actually so craving to play with gadget that I went to buy an i pod touch over here. Well, I was all along a anti mac person but I brought them of course of a good reason. The price here were rather cheap compare to Singapore. 2nd gen 16GB sold here at 412AUD plus another 10%..

Final price, 378AUD paid out compare to $499 in Singapore...

Its definitely not because I love MAC product, *roll eyes* but buying N82 here is locked to Australia network. If not I would go for N82 for sure. Ang KuKu, I going to get u (N82) back when I go back Singapore okie...

Secondly, the MAC product were so exclusive that you need to have its product to access its application, therefore buying a ipod now will enable me to excess some of my good application. Some were really useful... SOME ONLY.

Okie lah, still trying to get the bloody user unfriendly kuku to work....
After like 3 day usage I had drawn a conclusion, its super exclusive to MAC owners. You had to use itune to sync and no other place to download app unless you jailbreak it...

Talking about jailbreaking it, well... definite would consider it. Other draw back like, can't handle flash on Safari, no mutli tasking (no msn and surfing concurrently). No Equalizer, so sound not bombastic at all.

Now iphone 3gs getting super cheap and I smell rats with the Iphone developer. I think that major profit of MAC doesn't generate through sales of handset, but they drew a big portion of the profit from itunes store, so they rather earn less so that everyone can afford iphone and then earn more from application downloaded worldwide. That's my point of view....

I am rather excited over the endless war between ipod developer and NETIZEN who trying to break its security. Once Ipod had been hacked, developers comes up with new batches to prevent hackers and gratefully be hacked again after 3 hours. So clever were this hacker over the net, like one company of MAC vs the worlds wide hackers... I believe MAC just couldn't handles all these egotistic hackers... Hahaha...

It was mentioned in the email that with the height of the infecting rate, by the time of 8 weeks, 25% of human population may be down with the infection. However, we are grateful that the fatality rate of H1N1 aren't so deadly compared to SARS that happened a few years back.

"Some people" believes that there might be a "Judgment day" in 2012, would this virus a precursor to it, probably... New strain of virus might mutate and becomes more lethal, probably might be just as bad as SARS.. That may be a possibility I say.

However, disaster were just part of a nature occurrence. Still remember "SI CHUAN" earthquake, tsunami in Indonesia, the mysterious plane crash recently? It shows us how fragile a life would be. This brings me to wonder, why people always takes life from granted? You realize how important your kins are, only when you are confronted with the possibility of losing them?

A "yin yang" theory:

You can't feel neither one without the existence of either one.

You treasure because you will lose it, so naturally without the feeling of losing it, how can you appreciate its existence? As a librain, I believe is "balance", hence I exclude the possibility of "heaven" when you achieve happiness eternity. Not death, no disaster therefore, you lose the ability to lost. You lose the ability to appreciate. Where you takes thing for granted cause there will be no end to the happiness feeling.

What happened to you, ICU somemore.. What I heard was a vital infection when I heard the news you were already recovering. Sorry, wasn't there when you needed me. I never thought cause you had been taking care of you body as always.

Life is so unpredictable I could only sad it this way. But whatever it is. Please take care of yourself. That the least I can say right now, cause I haven't been taking care of mine either.

Bendigo's city tour

Hey friends, so you are all excited to know whats going on in Bendigo on weekends right? Today's Saturday, we decided to go shopping at Bendigo's central, while on the way we tried to capture some Victoria historical sculpture. Taken with my finepix S1500 and due to the rush, most of the picture were taken spontaneously, however with a simple magical touch of photoshop can enhances it aesthetically.

First, let's have a little walk into the park to see if we are lucky enough to shoot some wild life. Birds I mean, I reckon we can't get anything more than that.

Well, looks like we are lucky to find this bird resting motionless on the bunches, *snap snap*

Hmmm, largely abundant spices here. You find it as common as crows in Singapore.
The Galah is a large, familiar and distinctive cockatoo. It can be seen throughout Bendigo's urban areas.

Speciality: has one breeding partner for its entire life unless one Galah dies then a new partnership will be formed. Monogamy practice???

Another don't know what. Also largely abundant species.

Swift Parrot, personality unknown. Likes to eat grass probably.....

The most expensive part of a cup of espresso is the "golden crema" excreted from coffee beans under optimized pressure and brewing time. The every essence of a cup of coffee and the aroma will be retained in the cup by the golden cream. The more the better, works like head of a beer.

C901 camera review with photos

Today, I am going to review on C901 since I had been using for like 1 weeks. This time no comparsion to N82 or other 5 mp camera phone. Just purely C901 photo for people who wants to see the quality of the camera.

But before I get to conclusion, my forewords are N82 is the greatest camera photo ever. If you are thinking what camera phone to get. N82 and no question asked. Btw I forgot to blog about the "last dinner" before I came to Australia, so this review gives a dual purpose. Enjoy.

Let's see, how it managed cam whoring... Although it supports smile detector and face recognition, but I just so happen to get a blur shot of my own portrait. So bad. N82 never gives my shutter's lack at all.

Let's take a break for commercial, let fill in the time where I forgot to blog about the last dinner:

Before the day of my flight, me and my buddy got a get together. So we went down to holland village for dinner. We just had no idea what to eat, anyway all the food there is like super ex, so we really have not direction as where exactly to eat, ironically they expect to eat something expensive before I go oversea. I could be my "last dinner".

We randomly choose to try the Japanese BBQ that serve Wagyu Beef

While waiting for the food. We involves actively in discussing the metal mesh and the "sibei" hot charcoal.

So the 'main attraction' of the whole place, BBQ "WAGYU" beef. I tell you, wagyu beef is more premiere type of beef than you can ever image off. It's more premiere than premiere league. Okie lah, crap..

What I heard is, the cow is grown confined to area, basically, what they can do is just to move their head to eat grass or move up to 'shion' (daydream). Whole day eat eat eat, then the meat sibei fat and stuff...

What you see (the amount 340g) cost $99 before GST. Different parts are available, I guess we are having parts from the crow's cheek,

We just can't be full with the small amount of wagyu beef right? Ordered another 600g of pork assort. $69, cheaper because no one wants to eat pork now... Joking... because pork is generally cheaper and you don't get wagyu pork, cause they all already sibei oily and fat liao.

I can't describe the feeling, when we are BBQ ing the meat. We just enjoy the succulent juice excreting from the beef, so nice and delicious.

80% done meat, put into mouth. Jitao siong till dunno how to say. Sibei nice. Really. Can't describe sorry. The beef even you overcook also nice. Crispy and still juicy.

The pork also nice, oily but delicious not like outside de pork...

Just the pork, beef and 4 drinks... Cost us $222... Really expensive but you don't regret. Can you found at Holland village. Go try!!!

THis is not a very official review of the phone itself, but all picture were taken with the phone, so you can judge for yourself. Not bad is not bad lah, but back to back with N82, I not exactly impressed by the cybershot loh.

Changi NEWater plant opened

SINGAPORE : Singapore’s largest and most advanced water reclamation plant — the Changi Water Reclamation Plant — will open next week.

The pumping station at the new Changi Water Reclamation Plant is as high as a 25—storey building.

The station collects all used water from the deep sewerage tunnels via gravity.

The water then undergoes a treatment process at the plant before being discharged into the sea.

Part of that treated water will be processed into NEWater when the NEWater plant, which is being built on the rooftop of treatment facilities, is ready.

The NEWater factory which will be operational by May next year can produce 50 million gallons of treated water daily.

This is equivalent to the volume of water in 90 Olympic—sized swimming pools.

PUB said the Changi Water Reclamation plant stands out in its land use.

"The designers have incorporated a space saving design concept — things like stack treatment tanks and also stack treatment facilities like our sludge treatment facilities. All the treatment facilities are stacked on top of the other so as to save space," said Yong Wei Hin, assistant director of Changi Water Reclamation Plant.

Such a concept is the first in the world. With the stack concept, the Changi Water Reclamation Plant takes up only 32 hectares of land, which is about the size of 45 football fields.

PUB said that without this concept, it would have needed 3 times more land for the construction of the plant.

Another unique feature of the reclamation plant is a Sludge Dryer, which reduces the volume of sludge to be disposed. The sludge will then be incinerated and used as landfill.

PUB said the completion of the Changi Water Reclamation Plant concludes the first phase of its Deep Tunnel Sewerage System — a used water superhighway.

The second phase of the project will see a similar reclamation plant built in Tuas. It is expected to be ready in 10 to 20 years’ time.

The Changi Water Reclamation Plant, which costs some S$3.7 billion to build, can treat 176 million gallons of water per day. This is equivalent to the volume of water in about 320 Olympic—sized swimming pools.

And with its completion, PUB said a few of the existing water reclamation plants will be shut down.

Two such reclamation plants — in Bedok and Kim Chuan — have already ceased operations. — CNA /ls

I do cooking

Hey... good day people. I know you are damn excited to see how are we doing over at Bendigo right...

Right, starting first thing first.. We need a shelter, so there you go... This is our house, bag packer motel just 2 street across our workplace. A little like a bungalow. Just that there are 3 room up for grab. We got one and so far we were the only one, therefore we like owning the own house. POWER~

Was suppose to upload a video clip you know, however Internet is super slow over here.

But, let get a little sneak preview shall we?

I tell you the weather here is super cold. Thou it never snow, but morning and night temperature hits 3 degree. Its like freezing already. Mouth still got stream when you talk. Cool? Ya, btw this is the 'living room' i guess. It really a room with electronic fire place for you to heat up the whole room. A TV and some sofa. I never use this place at all.

If you take a few step you reach the kitchen which relatively well kept and sufficient utilises for you to do cooking. And cooking is the only option here unless you would like to spend like $10 every meal.

Just 180 degree from the kitchen pic, you see a dining table and of course a fridge somewhere at the left. See it??

Here is our comfy little dwell. The queen size bed are mine while yanru sleeping a single size bed that were out of the camera angle. There is toilet and bathroom in our room. And as usual, the toilet bowl is freezing cold and you are like sitting on ice when you shit.

The rest are other people's room and laundry room. Will update the video as soon as I get it on the youtube.

Move on to work...

Already went to work on our first day at Coliban water. It sort of like Singapore version of PUB. They supply water and pipe construction to the town around Victoria state. It also have Water Reclamation Plant like Sembcorp's NEWater, however they used different method of pre treatments and they were rejected by the idea that we are using the recycled waste water of potable means.

Thing here had pretty settled down and things here are supremely expensive. Cao cao $10 very meal. Hard to find rice and noodle. They eat bread, meat or bread and meat. Costing 6 AUD on average for a sand witch. Convert back to Sin you time 1.12 times. Super ex...

We started to buy our own grocery and cook on our own.

Totaling to 84 AUD

We cooked mutton pie and maggi mee for day 1

We cooked rice with egg, potatoes, chicken fillet and beef slice for second day

Okie, these 2 days we are relatively busy in acclimatizing ourself to the time frame and weather. Using of Internet were not so much cause we still had to cook you see... So if you are all excited to see nice nice photo of Australia winter, I am afraid you had to wait to weekend before we had time to go further away for photo taking. In due time, take care of yourself and look forward to our Japanese BBQ when I am back okie?
