BE main committee camp

Long post ahead...

We went for a 3 days 2 night main committee camp to bond with shortlisted main com for the year 2009. We were very honor, thanks to Guo An for booking the school loft for us. We had a wonderful stay :) I mean, whatever worst thing happened in camp, but just the idea that we were able to stay at loft made this trip worthwhile. Beautiful scenery, fully conditioned and awsome bathroom, so what's more could we possibly ask for.







Day 1:

Okie, starting off by meeting at the deck and do some introduction between the main com, div 1 and div 2. Basically to familiarize with all the faces and their individual names. Play some name game and so on. First activities had to blindfold the participant including us and we had to walk to BE axis. So basically some bonding game and stuff.

In the end they looks like some bondage or hostage, haha

After we reached BE axis, we had our dinner and then basically sits around and talk, basically very slack for the whole camp. Or should I say that, it wasn't a camp actually. You know just like booking a chalet and you know, dawn the whole day and stuff like that. Till all the way to night, where we just took a walk to Bukit Timah Reserve, hmmm sort of more like an after dinner stroll :)

Head back to bunk and we main com basically just hang around together doing gossips and slept at 4am. While the new main com just stayed in their own room and sleep. I think we weren't so comfortable yet, anyway, it is only day one.


Day 2:

Day 2 activities are more pack and interesting I tell you. After breakfast, we brief them that we were going to dispatch them with some money, and they had to prepare a meal for us. They can shop and buy stuff and set up a lunch for us under the theme "BEACH". We had to do the same too only that we were on the theme "ROMANIC".

We went out to source for food and buy decoration, and I asked Amenda, Elis and XY to walk the retenting wall with me. Haha, we all got jellied leg half way and it is always so fun and exciting to walk.

When we got back, they starts to prepare for all the food and decoration

Went all the people settled in, we suppose to entertain and serve them. Put on their napkit and say our prayer before they start to eat. Although the food is not that fanastic but I know they will realise all our efforts that was put in.

Then I should moves on to the part which was prepared by the main com 09. Their theme is "BEACH".

I say that I am super impressed by them. They decorated the blue dolphin and it was really nice. The ambient really looks like we were at the beach, somemore the menu is really a bonus. I was really well done. So as to appreciate their efforts I going to write out the menu in words

We all enjoyed this activities and followed by going to field there to play some wet games. Shooting each other with dyed water. Then we settled into BE axis for our night BBQ

Day 2 ended great, where we talk and chatted with the main com 09. After which we carried on in our loft and we talked till 6pm. All of them. I can see that through this camp, they really managed to bond with each other. Objective met!!

Day 3:

We decided to make day 3 most relax and cancelled all activities. We don't want to stress them up too much and also because all of us slept quite late in the night. Guo An also announced the individual position for the main com 09. He even did a 08 tribute for us. We appreciated.

New year resolution 09

Happy year 09.
Spend my night at home watching shows. A good way to save money and stays out of troubles.

So I guess it is now my turn to write down my vision for 09. They called it resolution. I am still very puzzled about why they didn't call it the new year revolution instead.

So let me round up what I had accomplished for year 08.

Mum said that lasik surgery was too expensive, although she promised that she will pay for me if I had gotten my scholarship. Well, I got my scholarship but no lasik surgery. Well as I always say "Promise are mend to be broken".

Hmm, I managed to maintain my score which is a good thing here, but for this semester, I am not so optimistic. But still hope everything will turn out fine. Especially WT and NPMC.

And I didn't manage to reduce my weight either. I didn't treasure my most important person in my life and I also never strike any TOTO.

So for my 09 resolution,

• cosmetically making over
• Get grades that allows me to UNI
• quit smoking
• treasure the most important person in my life
• socially more confident and outgoing
• overcome stage fright

Hmmm, that will make me a better person. I hope I can achieve these in this coming year

For this 3 weeks holiday, I am not moving. I felt my clock had stopped. Slack all the way to school reopen. And if you ask me where have I been for this 3 week I can proudly tell you, I can count with one hand.

Maybe to Wistma with Shi Hao and Xin Yan for project. Hmmm night cycling and Christmas celebration with classmate of course. 3 outing for 3 weeks. I mean I don't think it was cool. My phone had not been ringing for the past few days or weeks. It means no one is looking for me, no one is asking me out and no one is missing me. But btw, just to let you know, even if you have asked me out, I wouldn't want to also. Because I am tired with my life. I tired with people. Am I turning into a freak??



Fuck the assignments. 6 project all at one time and 3 practical reports. And thanks to previous EWT student to spoilt the whole fucking market. Hmm, let me recall...

year 1, I was doing hydraulic report with contents amounting to 1 piece of foolscap. I scored average 8/10.

Due to some people who were depressingly nothing better to do in life. They decided to dedicate their fullest to the so call practical report. They think that since people were doing 2 piece of foolscap, the only way to out beat them is to do 4 piece of foolscap. So natural they threw in lots of picture to take up spaces and rubbish content (irrelevant material) into the practical reports. So the next person saw this, they decided to go on to 6 pages, only this time they wanted it to be printed on a colored paper and bind it up. So on and so fore, till the whole class submit the practical report in a 8 pages rubbish filling, colourful report and somemore binder to the teacher.

So teacher couldn't be giving 15/10 to the student, so she try to give a maybe 9 or 9.5 to good report and 7 to 8 for not so good report. And what the fuck, 8 pages you got only 7 to 8 marks.

So coming to us, now for a fucking practical report which initially require 1 piece of foolscap, now we had to meet their standard, or else, don't even dream of a 8 marks. You submit 1 piece of foolscap, you end up getting maybe 6 mark or so. Turning a A student into a B student. Yeah no big deal, you say. From a GPA of 4, you drop to 3.5. It possibly cost up the chance for going to a university.

So the 3 practical reports, due to the previous highly efficient morons with nothing better to do. Turned into 3 fucking projects report. Thanks ar. I hope you all fuck up in life and end up in jail.

I took so many many many many nice photo ytd. But but... okie let me tell my story first. Christmas celebration with 18 participant, initially went with my classmate to eat "spicy girl" stream boat. So difficult to find place to sit. There were me, Shi Hao, Ting Hao, Wei Heng, Yan Ru, Ronnie, Elgin, Hanz and girl friend.

Then we went to join Yi Wei and co, Zhen Hao and co, Vincent and Co, Wei Heng's friend and co and Qing He at Dolphin. Super crowded at our table. Where I took so many nice photo, one of the very best is the one I took at the burning Chevias in rock glass. So nice

But I found something funny. I saw my old friend on the stupid youtube. She was my secondary friend's friend. It so funny to see how stupid she look inside youtube. Haha

shopping spree

Yesterday went Jeremy there and help out for one day. Hmm, it is a second hand shop selling handphones. So I sold my Omnia for $650 with $20 profit, then I wait till someone trading in his N95 8gb, I took in for $400. So I still pocket $250 back.

Well, its really a good catch to get N95 8gb for $400 where the market rate for second hand is selling for $550. So although, I changing my handphone like my undies but actually I always earn from it, instead of topping up cash :p

I was thinking of buying a Crumpler or a Manhattan Portage bag for my christmas present. But in the end, I brought the Project shop bag for $170. Hmm, more of implusiveness. But I hope this bag and look real good on me and able to withstand strong load. Then at least the money will be well spent.

I think it is super chio, but comfort level is not as good as crumpler and also there are not shoulder pad, hence sometime the bag tend to slid down the shoulder.

Hmm, also went to TCC to drink a sibei expensive coffee. $12.80 ++

+ mean you need to cover GST 7%

++ mean you need to cover Service charge 10% on top of GST 7%.

So the cup of stupid coffee cost me $15 plus.. I can't really relate how many kopi I then buy with that amount. Why am I so stupid to drink the coffee there. I think that will be the last time I go TCC to drink coffee unless if next time I become super rich.

Night cycling 08

After common test, I very much got nothing interesting going around except to stay at home to rot.

After looking up for many many phone. I still can't decide on which phone should I get. Actually, my ideal phone spec is as follows:

• good battery life ( 3 days per charge with moderate usage )
• stereo twin speaker for loud and clear music
  
• vibration should be strong
• 5 mp camera with xenon flash preferably
• WiFi enabled
• ergonomically slim and fit nicely in hand ( not too small either )
  

basically its so simple but I just cannot find a phone that had all the feature. Always just lacked one or two or the above.

and yes, not even one should be missing.

After everything, N82 is the closest it can get. What stop me from buying is because it is considerable too big for me. Not ergonomic. But N82 picture quality is impressive. The best after N95. And be reminded that picture quality had totally not correlation with its mega pixels.

Seriously now I am looking forward to see 6260 slide. It will be coming at first quarter of 09. I hope its camera quality can meet but with N95 so that at least for its sizes it will meet my requirement.

Night cycling event was fun and finally over. Not more late night recce and shit stuff. I was so "honored" enough to drive the lorry instead of cycling, cause it was damn tiring okie.

And yes, I brought it. Samsung i900 Omnia... Don't worry Vincent, I had a feeling I not going to use long for this phone also. As the name "Omnia" had already suggested in Latin, that it is all in one phone. I almost felt instantly in love with it posh finishes and its capability as a PPC. If really i had to spell any bad point of it, well,

• battery life sucks
• on board QWERTY keyboard was useless
• led light was well having without

I shall not carry to brat about my gadget endless today. I haven been updating, reason is because it was common test last week. But then I was too busy because I was studying hard, but I was too busy watching survior series. I finished 4 season of survivor series, OMG, I think I really GG for this semester already. Especially Water Tech. The worst paper I had took so far. But who cares right, anyway I wasn't going to go OIAP already. There is nothing for me to work hard for.

Talking about celebration after exam. Me Shi hao and Weiheng went to Zouk and then BQ. We drink so many, I puked in the bus and on my pants. I was fucked by bus uncle in the bus interchange and I slept outside toilet till 11am in the morning. Sibei jialet, with super hang over, it took me 3 hours to get back home. Take wrong bus lah, alight wrong stop lah and blah blah blah.

Hating someone really takes too much energy.. I am sicked of it already. Therefore, be it my fault or your fault. I don't want to carry on 'cold war' liao. One full term I guess its kinda enough. So if you happen to read this, then I hope that you understand that when school reopen I hope we can start thawing our frozen relationship. Merry Christmas back to you.

My tired school life

I am very upset about my present life in school. Never had I felt so miserable in school life. I was always those happy go lucky type during secondary. Never had to remember to complete assignment. Give a fuck during test and exams. Cause they doesn't really matters to me. That was because I had friends of my own kind then. Sort of "peer pressure" or "peer encouragement" from them. I only had to follow what they are doing. They fail test, I fail.. They skip class, I skip.. See so easy, no stress and happy.

But now, everyone is so broken up, all coming from different directions and heading to different ways. Everyone having the "mind your own business" attitude. (I include myself inside of cause). So everyone is shut off. I don't feel like I have a clique. I don't even feel that I had any friends. (of course I am refering to close one).

But instead of saying people are shutting me off, or is it that I am shutting people away?

Reason being age gap. Although I told myself not to keep remembering these fatality fact, but nonetheless it will still hunt me. All of friends around are having different attitude towards life and they have different views on thing they see. I so call eat more rice than them, I went through more things and I don't wish to go through those things one more time. I rejected to outing. I rejected gaming. I rejected sport. I rejected to bonding. I do try to go through them again but I really feel very boring. Young people are excited to trying new things and I am sick of repeating old things. That's maybe why I can't bond with young people. They are so full of energy and hunting for new excitement while I am so dull and focus on my study. No one is going through the pain with me. People do not understand that I was actually an island, though I look like so busy and involved in activities.

I always hear people saying that I am self-centered and too practical. But I really had no one to focus on except myself. Reality is harsh and I had to be practical. This isn't an emo post. Because I am still very optimistic and felt lucky of my choices. Just wanna blog about my feeling once in a while.

I am so sick and tired of all this little pop up from all over the net. Somemore it is from friends that you know. I really feels like blocking their contact because I wanna avoid all this spyware.

And you think that is not frustrating enough, there were also spyware from cbox and spam mail in friendster. Name like "WOW" and "LOL"... Enough liao okie. Why are people so free? Instead of donating blood and fighting terrorism, they were doing virues and spyware to steal our info. I mean you want my info, you can just ask. As long its not my bank account, I can consider telling you :)

OIAP, no OIAP, OIAP, no OIAP

You see, I am so happy that I am selected to go for OIAP okie. But the next very day, I received another telling me that there are no more opening of slot in oversea branch, hence I will have to do my IAP in Singapore. No, I am not going to do IAP locally..

Then you know what, I am joing IHP. Unless they find a freaking slot for me oversea. I really wanna go oversea, arhhhh!!!! Then somemore because of the contract, I can't join NP oversea source, I need to let SC to source oversea sitting for me. Ahhh!!! I siao liao. I want to go oversea, I wanna go alone, I wanna get away..

It all shatter now.

Be amazed by my BIM common test. I so exciting to use the programme. Its easiler than CAD seriously. And it is fun that you can draw from scatch: from foundation, column stump, slab then superstructure and finally all the finishing and furniture.

Then after that you can view your work in 3D view, I heard that we will learn to render 3D graphic next term. I think now I am capable of draw my own house, if provided all the dimension :)

Today went for my first lesson on the flash application. Got introduce to some basic tool function and etc. So today, I made my ever first flash movie. It looks retard I know, but that's what the teacher wants us to bring out. Draw some tree and symbolize it then duplicate it and then ar... add motion tweak and define path. Ya, basically is like that lah.

Nothing very special going on now in life. Some here and there events that took away my weekends. With common test around the corner, just have to spend more time at home studying.

The more exciting event was when I attended the wine appreciation. Hmm but seriously I got no idea what the person is talking. Was it me or what? But anyway, the purpose was to get free wine which was what they had offered.. And they provide cheese and bread to 'clear' our taste bug. But we just keep eating and eating the cheese and bread. Haha..



Noise pollution is something simple to study but I just hate the module. Mrs Lee is making the whole module so difficult to study. Forget it, don't wish to talk about it. Anyway, the practical was still consider fun for me. Cause I prefer going out to do practical instead of just ripping off the internet.

Me was posing with the sound level meter and measuring tape. We were suppose to prove the inverse square law of acoustic. Stating that with doubling the distance will reduce overall decibel of the source by 6dB.

Why everyone is imitating my infamous pose??? I was like so many people knew it. Oh, could I set a new trend in BE division. Haha... Like how Eric Cantonna set the trend of the 'erected collar'??
