Few nights back, chill out with LiPing and Yong Sheng till late at night, then suddenly thought about going to prawning and off we go.
Since everyone was sort of pocket tight, we share one rod for 3 person. I think it was just nice you know, if you are like prawning with one rod for 3 hours straight, you surely lost interest quickly. So we shared among us, each till we caught something.
Bishan Park 3 hours for $30. So working out around $10/per person. And good thing is you can smoke, drink coffee, chit chat a little while waiting for prawn to take the bait.
Then got one Indian uncle see us like not very good a prawning he came over to teach us a little. Well, very kind. He slowly one by one surprising us with his personal little "gadget". First, he brought over some live worms, suppose to be better than chicken heart and sea clams. Then he change our hook to bigger one.... change rod.... show us how to prawn.... then he literally just starts to help us catch. We could only watch innocently and listen to him grumble. He like prawned for 1.5 hours and we just sit there chit chat among ourselves and see his occasional catches.
Hmm, luckily he gave us all his prawn after our hours. !!! I think got around 20 prawns. So if adding up ours, like around 30plus prawn, which was a lot compared to last time I booked 2 rod for 4.5 hours. Paying $60!! Today so heng, got kui ren.
So around 4am in the morning, we finished our 3 hours, so its time for us to cook the prawn. Ver gross killing and poking the prawn backside, but at least I kill the food I eat. Some people just talk like they so holy, don't kill the small creature. But they eat the food prepared by other people, so like they enjoy the result without committing 'sin' during the process. Super SINNER!! Okie, so you wondering how I prepared the prawn?

Later after BBQ, we sit around a quiet place with Ali to finish up the 40 plus prawns. Some really big and juicy prawns. Eh I mean crispy :)))))
I love prawning. Just laze around and chit, smoke and enjoy the rush from baiting the prawns. Nice place to hang out at night with moderate of damage to pocket. I suggest following our hours, 3 person sharing 1 rod for 3 hours. Each only pay $10 for the night. Of course, don't expect to be as lucky as us to take other people's prawns.
