Doing Table Topic

Yesterday went for second session of toastmaster, schedule were as usual. Prepare speeches to evaluation to table topic. I guess the only involvement was the self introduction and table topic. Second session but I have been volunteering table topic for both session. Something to be proud of. People were saying I am very courageous and motivated to learn.
I drink too much coffee that afternoon, getting all rowdied and restlessed. Butterflies in stomach and heart pounching really fast.

Table topic was hard. Question : “If music are to be in human voice, it shall not exist in the first place”. I don’t think I understood the sentence then and till now I don’t think I quite get what it is trying to say.

I always got those hard and irrelevant topics, where I can’t apply my experience in life. So had to threw out trash. I think I didn’t do as well as the previous attempt, I rate myself 6/10. I construct was all over the place, idea were not conise and lack the punch line. I had 13 false-filler where 5 were “eh/ah” and 3 “so” etc. Displayed nervousness was 8/10. Bernard said he didn’t sense that I am nervous. I didn’t know whether to believe him or not.

I am going to crash other club with Bernard and Sam soon. I have to wait for 2 more months to do my first project. I am glad I paid for the membership and did 2 table topic, show that I am committed to improve my public speaking. All of the best of being MC for Lilian’s wedding 

Workplace interpersonal skill at MIS

Attended the "workplace interpersonal skill" workshop at MIS. Special thanks for the trainer Celiecia, for being so motivating and encouraging. She helped me to open up and unleashed my true nature.

Sucess in a way I built rapports with everyone including the trainer. I felt appreciated. Some of the remarks were as followed.

These are small annoymous notes circulating at the end of lesson for reflection and they made the whole course worthwhile.

The night didn't end here. Being so motivated, I went to Toast Master queenstown division the second time. Back to back, enroll a member and took up Table topic for the night. Straight away present can.

So the impromptu topic was; What is the different between a wild beast and an evil friend. Wild beast endangered your life while evil friends endangered your soul.

Surprisingly, my "ah" counter was no bad at all. Perfect score for "ah/eh". Couple of "em", "so" and repetitive words. Overall, grading 6/10. I did okie but not great.

A small reunion talk as I bumped into Maggie for spear Coy. Maggie is a guy so Liping do not worry :)

总要在雨天

I always have a thing for oldies. Some songs will just trigger my sense of nostalgia, just like a time machine sending me back to the past. While listening to my favorite oldies, time stops and I will have the moment to smell the flowers or appreciate small little things around me.

Song 总要在雨天 brings me back to age 5. To marina square bowling ally with mum, dad, 4th uncle and aunty. I still remember the arcade game vougely. The sandwhich and coffee, like I still able to taste them right now. Although I do not deny all sandwhiches and coffee tastes similar.

For those that this song plays significant. Lay back and enjoy.

Saturday late night - X-men

Saturday night was great. For so long we didn't have the chance to walk each other side by side and talks on topic that randomly comes to mind. Its an romantic Saturday night.



Met at 10pm at summer set 313, walking just aimlessly to and fro. Could have met qinghe they all, but in the end still decided to spend with each other. Walk 20 minutes to Cathay to look for 24hours starhuck and endes up watching X-men. Show ended at 3am and we had green tea latte while playing bug village on ipad.

Cab home and spent somemore quanity time together and installing other games on ipad and iphone. Haha. I enjoyed this Saturday night.

Robert timms

It has began. Killing spee for GSS. We went Isetan to CK tang to Metro to OG to Center pt to 313 to Wistma to Taka. And start all over again.

We had a full head to toe overhaul. Its revolutional, and its gonna change everthing, again :)

Today we went to get our Coffee fix at Robert Timms. Now it officially became my top favorite, superceded Breado.

GSS 2011

Today ma yan last day. That my bench mark for 1 year in Sembcorp. We just part ke wen not long ago. My days are nearing.










Me and clp went to eat westen at Mignon, Taka today. Tempting. So long since i last have my fillet. When was it? Oh when i was in bendigo :)

Today is the first day of GSS 2011. Need to stack up my closet :)

Collaboration of the past May '11

You know what? I going to call it the "collaboration" from now on. Its getting harder to keep me with my blog, so I am going to blog using the "lump sum" basis. It will be labelled as "collaboration". Now, I will keep it real short and sweet;

Didi, Ethan's GF came to town



Ethan's GF all the way flew from Korean to Singapore, and they are now travelling to and fro each other country on a 3 month basis. This time around Didi is sticking around for 1 and a half month here. We are please to show her around Singapore.

First trip, we travel her to JB, Liping having breakfast at Woodland center and latter they took picture at the custom check point.

Second trip went up to MBS for shopping. It will be the very first experience for all of us. And basically, its like shopping at Paragon. We can only do window shopping. I remember I had tea break at one of the cafe and it costs me 20buck for a cup of coffee and some cakes :(

Third trip, went to long beach at East coast, to fix my craving for crabs.

The crab is around 800g that costs us $46/kg. The claws are big. However, I recommend the coffeeshop near Ethan house. Their crab there is almost as big or not bigger than long beach :)

When to Tawandang, Didi is an extreme drinker. Being a Korean, its no big deal since their sake there is cheaper than water.

It has been getting harder and harder to blog regularly, hasn't it. Since work, I have no luxury of time to be by my own, pondering over stuffs. Although not back to back busy, but just something there to distract me enough to neglect my blog. I do not want to end this legacy that I have been holding on for so long.

So I might have to "tweak" around for another solution. Blogging within 160 letters, like how twitter works. But using my Samsung Wave S8500. A wonderful application called Dairy.

See, that's easy. It could be a weekly update so I will not forget great event that happened :)

A day with egg tarts and Sashimi

One fine day with the urge to eat egg tart, so jio CLP to run "around" Singapore to grab some nice bite. Head down to Chinatown to eat "Dong Heng" Egg tart. Got lost a little and finally found it opposite the Hindu Temple the Mei Si Jie.

So after getting my fix. I crave for a up of coffee, without much of a choice in Singapore, reluctantly went to Chinatown Point to get coffee bean tea latte. Suck cock. Totally taste like puke from yesterday night. Starbuck jitao dominate the green tea latte. 

 Went into people's park to see some kitchen product demo, a juice and blender mixer. Well turn back once we realize the price to be $69.90. After that hunt around and then got hungry again. CLP suggest to get some Sashimi. So with my Iphone hunt down the popular jap restaurant Ikoi. Daily Sashimi buffet at $45 nett. Inclusive of payable tax and compulsory tip. 7% + 10%. GE2011 coming and I am going to vote for SDP if any as their shadow budget promise to reduce tax to 0% for daily basis item :)

Sembcorp Dinner & Dance 2011

Its Sembcorp Dinner & Dance. Not happening often enough but we were lucky to have them right at our first year. Lucky draw prices were luxurious but we had no chance. At least each got a 4gb pen drive and tons of mei mei de photo home with some mei mei de ren.

Its so unbelievable I "smuggled" liping to the dinner and many got surprised.

Technically, she came in as an employee. She is suppose to report work on 1st April, and Yap was no well so the spare invitation card have to go to someone and so happen it went to her!

The last time I dressed up glamorously for an event was,...... Never. So lucky guys and girls got to see the hunk in his hunkiest moment. Hmmm, seem like there isn't a word "hunkiest"...  

I thought we are overly dressed but seem all of them going on "bee seeking honey" mode. Dress to kill and so many pretty girls around just making my eyes sore. In a good way :)

Took photos with Ms Photogenic queen and runner up. I know you guys envy to dead. But I learn in Sembcorp that if you want something, you just ASK. :)

Food was great, but me and liping got left on a table with group IT people. No much of a communication flow hence boring~~~.... Heng, water operation were next table. Love em...

My flat painting work

I super hate to blog on blogger using iphone app, blogpress. After the insertion of image, it create additional line break between images which cannot be removed. So this post will look awfully spacious.

Went IMM to get a toaster and hot water pot. Saw the ISO hair curler artist again. So lp went in to get her hair permed for free. Oh. She can't use a hair curler over the mirror.

Today is a small get together at HaBin Prawn fishing at Bishan. In event to pre celebrate Liu Tong leaving Sembcorp but ended up she didn't turn up for the event.

For so long, then have the time to catch up with old buddy. Met Qing He and Jiayi for an impromptu outing. Our style is going to meet without a specific place to go, no plan, no itinerary, only plain fun.

Went to tampines to buy my bio filter for my crayfish. Shop a while and hunt for cafe. Stop for some dessert.

Olympus E-PL micro 4/3 pros over DSLR (sample shot)

Are we all getting tired with how DSLR present itself aesthetically? Its 2011 and people going crazy over DSLR everywhere. Luckily, the new Micro 4/3 comes to put ends to our misery. What we are looking is the Single Lens performance with retro looks and compact sizes. 

Micro 4/3 has many companies come together with standard lens that you can interchange in-between. It's open ecosystem ensure that even if you are Olympus, you are still enable to mount Panasonic, Lumix, Kodak etc 4/3 lens to it. For canon fanboy, do not be disappointed. There are also adapter rings for your to mount your favorite canon lens up. Nice~~

E-PL 1 in build censor shift right into its body, so you don't have to rely solely on expensive lens with Image Stabilization to get your blurriness picture. You will ensure crystal clear picture (3 stops) with any Tom Dick Harry lens. Mount the most peculiar lens up, the possibilities now are endless. Okie lah, bounded by your imagination. :)

My Union dinner 2011

My reunion dinner, self cook. Salmon fish, Sotong, Prawns, KanGong and Rice. Is the best meal,  we had together for so long. I have quite a bit to update here, but I wish to keep them short. Li Ping E-PL 1 review shortly after this post.

 Sometime back, we went to Boat Quay for dinner at one random Mexican restaurant. Good is bad so we just both enjoy the ambient and each other accompany.

Don't assume you knew before you even asked

UPDATES: The dark cloud clears after the rain and of course, I am wrong about her. Turns out, I am the one more paranoid and ya, I should not draw to conclusion this early. She is not talking about me.


If "you" is referring to me (which I positively thought), then I ma super pissed. Why am I always getting these kind of wrong accusation?


If you are in doubt about me, please ask. Don't assume. If never picking up your call at 12 doesn't means that I am ignoring you. Could it occurs to you that I might be busy or the phone is not with me? For this case, I am sleeping. Is sleeping till 4pm a crime?


Give some respect to me. Don't like taking all this for granted. Am I always obligated to handle all this drama?


The problem is all about you drawing to conclusion to soon, without even bothered to ask me about my problem. All negativity thoughts. Is talking about a problem so difficult that you have to completely ignore that and accuse me base on your assumption.


I felt many of my effort to change not appreciated. Please think it through. There is not reason for you to type all these. Is that a threat or what?

Mexican : Cha Cha Cha at Holland Villiage

Today finally have the chance to eat out at Mexican restaurant. I remember the first time I ate Mex was during attachment at Australia. I was hooked and have been wanting more. Not really getting a chance to eat here in Singapore, very rare occasion we can stumble in front of it and say "Hey, let's eat Mexican today".

Today die die must go and try, hit up the net and Cha Cha Cha returns relatively prior on the result list. So its Cha cha cha time :)

We pretty much went in clueless as in what kind of food to look for. You know, I had the thing about the one which looks like prata you have to wrap up yourself, with some beef, cheeze, sources at the sides, especially the sour cream source, you know, you know... I guess you are pretty much as clueless as I was..
