Christmas 2009 and "The Hang Out"

Second week into my last holiday for Poly, busily packed with much activities going on.

First off, celebrated 09 Christmas with Weiheng's group and Yiwei at 12th element pub. Very impromptu decision. Guess nothing really much happening, except alcohol and women.

Get together with Qing He and Jiayi to "the hang out", a place where you can play board games and console games. They even serve meal in the package. For promotion period, we paid $10 per head for 2 hours of Wii and Xbox with drinks and food. Great deal. Opposite parklane.

Been waiting for so long, you are finally 18. Well you are legal already.... to do a lot of things :) Like drinking, clubbing and of course taking your class 2b license. Woke up late today due to extreme wear and tear from night cycling. I never have been so mental drained. Went out at night to west mall to eat Thai Bali. Sucks, not nice one. Dinner was paid by CLP $60 plus!!

After dinner, I super full and bloated, wonder around west mall and saw a big big open space theater. Like Ge Tai like that but playing movie instead. So we decided to join the hundreds of uncle and auntie sit down there watch free "IP Man". Very unique experience and so sweet sitting beside your darling. Wahaha. TMR still got startek, will go and watch if I still got the strength after IPPT test.

Me and Yong Sheng go help out BE do lorry driver. We like driving the whole day from 2pm to the next day 8am. Super tired.

CLP was my V-comm for the night, duty is to keep me accompany and not die of boredom. We just talk cock and play with N82, ipod all the way.

Second is the best loser

Life is so unfair. Just finished my common test but tonnes of works already piling up before me. While people enjoying their 2 weeks break, I had to meet my deadlines. Projects, RT 4 times a week and Night Cycling. All coming at me this week.

Say I tomorrow had to go RT at 8am then draw lorry at 1pm then event at 6pm till 6am the next day. Return lorry and chiong to RT again at 8am. Project endline on Sunday night which I haven done anything. Monday night go fishing, tuesday go makeup shopping with Amenda they all. Wah, the schedule like so suffocating.

Today, just came back from BBQ for the PUB and SEMBCORP people. Intented for us to mingle around. End up, like segregating apart. Totally hopeless. They told me that the juniors were hard to communicate, and indeed it was. I tried to speak up to them only to receieve cold shoulders. Okie lah, maybe I got wai ren lian lah.

Vice President, Mr Gan came and he wasn't so fierce as I had known from work. Today he seems like a chatty old man telling his grandfather stories.

True lah. But hard sia. For me, I think I got the prefectionist mentality. It's either all out, or not at all. I don't attempt things unless I know I can excel. Not a good thing as I makes me turn down to challenge, which is the best method to learn. I don't like challenge, unless I bao jia. In me, its either black or white, north or south, wrong or right and win or lose. I don't have the grey boundary.

What is the different between second and last?

ANS: NONE!! Second only means that you are the best loser.

I am so glad.

The desktop I brought last year was able to support recent graphical intensive games like Resident Evil 5 and Left 4 dead 2. It the best stress reliever for exams. Periodical breaks between revision ensure better absorption. Avoid sleeping altogether, for I am those who absorbs most during wee hours.

Albeit better graphic, but most of the time, the game happens during day time. If you played RE 1 and 2 on Play Station before, you will agree with me that it is a all time classic famous for its fright elements. I completed part 1, 2 and 3 then straight to 5. I am disappointed for it seems like a normal 3rd person shooter game. The zombies don't drag forward anymore. They jitao run and it seems that they are getting more intelligent, I kicked the ladder away to prevent them from climbing up, they can go and bring the ladder up again and climb! Fucking shit lah. Don't take this the wrong way but the zombies seems to be 'dark skinned' like shooting Ah Neh lah. In another words you can imagine you shooting the Ah Neh in Mustafar while they all charging towards you in all directions.

Mustafa on Sunday night, sourcing for cameras. Was very tempted by Samsung "Beauty shot" series and preferably running off AA disposable batteries. Bulky of course due to the compartment of AA battery, but I was more concern with the functionality. Rechargeable batteries are long lasting and cheaply replaceable. You can get it of the shelf easily went you are traveling without your chargers. Of course you can also choose to bring a couple of spare with you. You cannot do this to a normal lithium batteries. Moreover, I can get it for $159 with optical stabilizing. Hmm, still considering.



After RCD paper (difficult). We went to orchard roaming about aimlessly. Went to lucky plaza to see Maxi cash. Gold trade value had fallen from $1212 (highest in history) to $1150. But it still consider high compared to Sept value of around $900. Money credited +++

Went over to Villa Bali for my 3rd time. A very luxury place of a drink. Spent over $50 just for a couple of red wine and Tequila with Chix Wings. Good that they had one of one promotion to midnight. Very nice ambient with cool music and good ventilation. Its located deep into Alexendra road hence moisture are damp and refreshing. Highly recommended with price is not your concern. A good place to chill and hold a little catching up sessions.

For the past 2 month, I got this persistent "bump" on my right hand. Just one bump and its like all over my hand. First it happens at my bicep, red patches of blue black. Then it developed into a bump. A little painful. Slowly it spread into 2 bump, one traveled to my forearm the other one travel down to my fist. Then it started to soar. It looks a little funny, and I like keep staring at it.

WRT is like going to due in 2 days, considering that I don't have a MS word on PC and my laptop failed me, I had like no ways to complete my part. I had to resort to using notepad. I think it is super time consuming. So time had to be spend wasted, it left me with no time to study. Burning tonight is the only feasible solution.

Miss my "Kim Mo"

Last week assembled a PC during IS. Of course not my first time assembling a PC lah. I so techno geek, its will be a shame not knowing how to DIY a computer right.

Chicken feet and as fast and swift as a ninja, we were first to complete even my team is out numbered. Excellent!! Ya I am boosting.

So looking forward, 8 more study week before I can free my mind. Dilemma on whether to further study or not. Need a serious thought. But definitely not now cause I need to get back to my APMC liao.

WII or Xbox 360, New Moon

Instead of studying on Friday, we went out to Bugis to shop. Brought a shirt at $55. Expensive yet I realize I hated the shirt only after I paid for the shirt. Like totally wasting money. Shop at Bugis Junction, wanna buy a small GUESS bag for CLP to hold her wallet and small item. Just can't decide on what she wants. She want nice looking, multi taskable, chio, strong built and yet need to be cheap. Like say less than $10. Where on earth can we get that. Not in Shen Zhen right?

Then went to Sim Lim Square for the intention of buying WII. Look around for price comparison between all the console. PS3, Xbox360 and so on. Not really that I want to play any games but just that even myself thinks that my house is quite boring. No entertainment or so. So if I were to buy some 2 players game, we could spend some quality time together yet not so expensive. You know going out like today can spend almost $200. I thought WII is more feminine and easy for the girls, because complicated games with lots of control not really for female type loh. However CLP said WII games are lame. I totally agreed. Contrary, I also think that Xbox 360 games are too complicated for her. A match of "Wrestle Mania" proved my hypothesis.

I went back to the basement at Sim Lim to have the so called "thickest" coffee in Singapore. Proclaimed by the barista. I promptly agreed. Really thicker than starbuck and coffee bean. Definitely not so the weak hearted. CLP had an espresso while I had my latte.

Instead of choosing MRT directly home, we decided to go for bus. This decision indirectly costed me $80. Okie, when I walked to bus stop, saw a very random salon. Called "phase hairdressing". I went in to ask for the price for a men hair cut. $32 - $36. Too embarrassed to walk out cause few trainee stood staring at me with welcoming smile. I don't really disappoint women you see. So obligated and a hairstylist approached me soon. A girl came over "What would you like to drink? Coffee or Tea?" I actually thought there might have the next option. So I said coffee. Then another girl came over to shampoo my hair, while the hairstylist sort of discussed my desire. I believe I am the most easiest customer to please, I told him I am all his for any fantasy he can hold. On my hair of course. He say okie, then bla bla bla what blend, what razor. I was rather prepared to own my first ever bombastic hairstyle from expensive salon. Excellent service but the result I wasn't impressed.. Don't even think a before and after picture were required. I had not intention of impress anyone. Especially my new haircut.

Took 145 home, I dozed off on the bus. I wake up to realize I reached interchange. CLP say she didn't realize all people had alighted, until uncle almost parked at interchange. Great. Heng is at Holland. So we walked out to source of something to eat. Stumble upon the famous XO crab beehoon. I craved to try. $30.




For photography sake, we looked so like impressed. But actually I just think it was so so.

Went home to watch Twilight with her. Second time for me but still find interesting. Inspire me to go catch NEW MOON. On funshion of course :)

Finally .rmbv format playback on mobile

Finally RMVB format supported on my N82.

What's the great deal? Okie effing great deal can.

First and foremost, no handset can support this file extension playback to date, not even coreplayer, smartmovie or Divx.

Secondly, .rmvb format is favorable for its smaller sized file with great video quality and had its popularity among online streaming video, eg Funshion But with the .rmvb format not many device and play back, except if you get yourself a MP5. MP5 is like MP4 with the ability to play back .rmvb. However, this means investing your money on another portable player. With Ipod touch and N82 with me, I believe I had enough to carry around.

Thirdly, the solution to play .rmvb in the past will be you trying to source for a good converter to convert to more mobile friendly extension like .3gp and .avi. However, this mean more work and larger file size. BTW, you had to be able to source for free vision or you had to pay for the converter program too.

Now this "RUN" program developed my some China Guru claimed to be able to play .rmvb format on mobile? What!!! You mean I don't have to buy a MP5 and I don't have to get a video converter no more? YES!!! You heard it right. YES!!!!

So I tried to install the program on N82 but only to find out that, although it can play back the file, the video streaming were not parallel with the voice output. Disappointed... However, I am persistent to find a program that works, soon enough, we updated "RUN" with the update to sync the video and voice correctly. Tested to be working on my N82.

我一直关注这个播放器的发展。
3月之后的RUN播放器，终于可以实现播放RMVB而不出现影音不同步现象。

但是流畅度跟机器有很大关系，我们E71和E63的机能在S60的CPU中属高端。
本人实际测试，基本能达到90%的流畅度，但是不会出现影音不同步现象，非常棒！

可惜S60屏幕太小，如果是PSP上也出个这样的播放器，那就完美了！

Best Zichar at Commonwealth crescent

So tired. Instant drop dead on my bed as soon as I got home yesterday. Fatigue. Woke up around 12am. Watched Paranormal Activity which I downloaded on Funshion. I set up a conducive ambient, switches off lights and put on earpiece on my 21" inch LCD, hoping to get chilly as comprised my the thriller. They claimed to be the scariest movie in 2009, with the petty budget of 11,000 dollar. However, it failed to impress. Other than feeling nausea, it jolly well wasted my 90 minutes of my busy schedule.

My window 7 conflicted with most of my program, including explorer and funshion. My lappy is as good as a piece of 1.9kg metal, that I spent most of the time hitting Alt Ctrl Del. I hate the (not responing) error.

Lilian asked for coffee session today and I rejected her. Such a good friend yet I can't really find time for her. This semester is crazy. Assignment pile sky high and me getting impossible to concentrate.

Brighter notes, I meet up with Elis they all, to try the Singapore best Zichar at commonwealth crescent. The butter pork rib is luscious. The cheezy butter power on top is heavenly, goes well with rice and even better on the pork rib itself. However I find some other highlight a little over rated. Drunk Cockles specially were over priced. But on the whole, cheap. $58 for 6 dishes for 5 person. Each paid around $12.

Elis insisted us to take photo with a Polaroid camera in front of the signboard and in front of the full housed crowd. Very embarrassing. I was surprise that the film cost $3 each and amazed she consider this obsolete technology as a passion. While majority races with technology and upgrade for digital camera as can can take unlimited number of shot, some minority will find it not appealing to join the major. They chooses to be unique and revise old and obsolete technology. Clearly, my line between unique and useless are drawn very clearly. Polaroid camera faced out for a reason. Expensive, inefficient, slow and bulky. What's so fascinating of carrying a Polaroid camera? Does it looks cool? I think I need to charge up my ercisson 388 :)

Hectic life, lazing around, anyhow I am still motivated to keep my blog alive and kicking. For my future references, no way am I going to abandon my blog. So to compromise things a little, I going to blog highlight of the week, till probadly I graduate.

Times really flies, and we are already 5th week into our semester, 16 oct which was ytd, our 2nd month anniversary. Went to Tiong Bahru planning to watch 2012 or paranormal activities, cancelled due to extreme physical exertion. Kind of like force over area, slove for "P"..

Class so far so good, apart from the occasional nuisance noise from the bitch. Jitao AS de lo. Typical 看后面，讨厌前面kind. Shihao was already impressed how good the way I tolerate that bitch. Life goes on you know, just had to go through and get over with.

Pay day were only days ago, money had already spent 7788. Life is hard, when is my next allowance again.. Hai~ And ya, recently start doing my own salad. Nice!! However, last Friday missed school, so missed CLP's salad as well. Heard there were prawn, 20 prawns. I love prawn!! Too bad. Received a Levi's jean from CLP and return got her a very cool and handsome jacket.

More and less, my life. And I sucessfully hacked N82 v31.0.016!!! How tedious. Yeah!!!

After like waiting for so long, our hard earned money finally cashed into our account. Both of us although working on different days and different hours/timing, we ended up getting the same amount. So coincident.

So we went down to Ion Orchard to start our long planned shopping spree. We had already set up our "fund" allocating it for our different needs. And we both agree to spend $150 each for clothes. CLP had been eying on a "tough" bag and a wallet.

So we start our day at AMK hub, that time I didn't manage to finish shopping. But before that we both go into salon to have our hair cut. CLP so reluctant to drop her fringe, me and the hair dresser had a hard time persuading her loh. Finally, not anything out of sort, but just a little tweak to her hair :)

A little reminiscence session, let see how this little worm evolves into the pretty little butterfly...

Coffee Plunger

People regards me as a coffee fanatic. This is an understatement. Even I myself had to admit that I am ridiculously obsessed with caffeine products. I never realize that I had the habits of collecting coffee brewer. See i just brought a new plunger from starbucks. Together with a christmas coffee bean costing 50 dollar. How I wish I could spend this kind of money on clothes instead.

CLP and I were waiting impatiently for our Sept pay at Golfers, so many stuff on our wishlist and so many bills for us to pay. Really quite broke now. I really wish to start saving some money for my future. I want to buy stuff as and when I like, don't have to just do window shopping alone. So boring to just see yet no money to pay for, felt fucked up. Somemore she let her N82 down. Now no phone and don't even want me to lend her one, afraid that she might break mine again.

School sucks nowadays, I cant follow what teacher is teaching. And the standards and qualities had been amplified by leaps and bounces. So many wiki discussion for WSH2. SD I don't even understand the fundamental at all hence making it so difficult to catch up. So hard sia.

Very tired. Still have to work for money. But I had planned my job only on Sat. That left me with Friday for girlfriend and Sunday for family and assignment. I am deprived from more time. Ahhh!!!
