rating: 7/10

$2

$1 per stick. Meat ball that seem to be there for decade. Taste funny. Don't recommend unless you need to clear your bowel.
rating: 2/10

$3

Snake head... Eh no lah.. It is believed to be some sort of eel. But definitely is a kind of fish. The fresh was tendering juicy, enough salty but not too over. Come with a home made source that taste mixture of sweet, sour and spicy. Very appetitizing source indeed. Skin was oven-ed for extra crisy bite. It seriously tastes very very nice and for a petite amount of $3. Editor's choice, highly recommended.
rating 10/10

$3

Personal favour. Thai noodle soup with selection of either pork/beef/chicken basik to go along with it. With gengerous amount of vegetable. Oh did I mention you get a free flow of "dao gei"? Go ahead and sprinkle assorted spices into the soup to fire up the taste!!
rating: 8.5/10

p/s: shihao order a fried rice. its very nice too. $3.50.

With beer to go along, that will definitely be a nice place to chill and catch up with some old friends.

Organ transplant

Should selling of human’s organ be legalized? Currently, selling organ for money is banned around the world. Only donation is allowed. But who would be willing to live with a single kidney out of the sake of good will? Not likely. Most of the case, only deceased person may consider that.
In United States, they already have markets for donation of blood, semen, human eggs and surrogate wombs. Should we consider extending markets to donate or sell non-vital human organs such as kidneys and livers? Please be informed that we are having more than 75,000 people on the waiting list for organ transplant. Many doctors have the know-how to cure a dying patient but they just don’t have enough donated organs to make it possible. With the acceptance of organ transplantation, thousands of life can be saved.
On the other hand, if selling of organ is legalized. There will be problem arising also. There will likely be situation of exploiting the poor by the rich people. As rich and healthy person are unlikely to sell their organ. Therefore only the poor are likely to sell it because of desperation.
In addition to that, if organs were to be treated as commodity and sell it like a car/property, does that mean that when a person becomes bankrupt, would their organs be considered in their final evaluation of their total assets?
However, under very narrow circumstances, we should consider methods like, organ trading with family members or kin. Example trading a kidney with a bone narrow transplant. Although this type of trade is also prohibited, it may be a very reasonable exception.
That's my write up for my IS modules. Speaking with impact. I am going to present in front of class for more than 1 minute discussion on any issue that we reckon can arouse people interest. Sibei Impactful right...

Electronic Cigarette for quitting smoking!!

As I was shouting at the 'honor jump' at OBS that I will be quitting smoking, but the next thing you know, I am smoking.

As a reference I will be telling a bit about my history of smoking. I started at 15 years old and I had a 10 years of smoking experience till date. No many people know that I am actually a chain heavy smoker. I average 15 sticks very day. I attempted to quit smoking mentally, lets see... Okie endless time. Actually, I quit twice before, once 2 weeks the other 2 months. But hooked on again because of mental urge.

So when I thought all hopes are gone, I accidentally came over this article which talking about E-cigg. It's basically stimulate a really cigg
  • tip led up when you inhale
  • nicotine liquid can be refilled
  • sweet aroma instead of smoker's breath
  • vaporize vapor instead of harmful second hand smoke

Introduction to E-cigg
2:00 minutes

No tar, no harmful chemical and definitely no cancer. Good nicotine replacement therapy for smokers who wish to kick the habit.

I gonna get this. It something that I don't need but desperately craving it. Basically smoking out of no smoke, which might help me to turn over a new tobacco leaf.

Yeah, I am kind enough to provide a link to purchase it over in Singapore.
Check this ebay seller here. Or purchase online through a malaysia distribuator here

One of the worst thing that can happen to you oversea, is that you lose your way and forget to stomp your passport. Nabei and that happened to me. Li Ping and I went to JB to mai dong xi, chi dong xi, mai dong xi, chi dong xi, zhen de ting bu xia lai.

Although we went OBS together lah, but then our JB trip is equally exciting.

First, the NBCB Singapore custom. New route at woodland check point had blocked my usual route that I always take. They restrict turning in to JB from woodland center except for bus, and motor and car had to detour to BKE/turf club. I took around 1.5 hour before reaching inside JB, somemore kana heavy rain. First suay.

That's the 'wishing pot' from thailand. It is believed that people toss coin into it and rub the 2 handle till the water create a hydraulic jump will have their wishes come true.

I didn't manage to let the water jump up no matter how hard I tried. Li Ping got it. And she was greedy lah. Keep tossing in coin and ask for so many wishes.

Sentosa in the afternoon, we just walked around and saw something like 'lok lok'. But its a lorry selling "zhu chang feng". Very nice lah..

Our whole day Journey covered, Holiday Inn, Pelangi Plaza, Taman Sentosa, city square, then to Taman Sentosa again, then to city square. Haven take into consideration that we lost our way. We almost headed on a highway to Melaka. Second suay.

It was 1am in the morning. We were lost on some highway. I can't really see any prominant building before it was so dark. So I lost my sense of direction so just have to depend on my intinct. We hit on a highway that was so dark, because lack of lamp post bah. I can't see the road 5m ahead of me. I had to travel like super slowly to avoid collidision. Till we see signboard only to realize we almost headed to Melaka. I had a feeling that we were at least 30km away from the custom. We stopped at a petrol kisok to ask for directions.

*some random things happen, we found the way back*

Then finally, we wanna return to Singapore, we head into a road that makes me ride pass malaysia custom and straight back to Singapore. Meaning that when I reach Singapore custom, I realize that I didn't pass Malaysia custom at all. WTF.. The fucking Malaysia road is like totally retard loh. Can just pass the custom like that, I manage to ride through a road right behind the Malaysia custom. NBChee loh. We got daleh back at Singapore custom and make a police report. Third suay.

Okie, enough bitching. Hei Hei, on the brigher notes, we manage to get some good catch for today. I like totally spent all of my 234 rm lah. Proof, just like that. I brought super lots of stuff lah. And city square's shopping mall is like totally rocks man. One full day isn't enough for me.

Okie, I am very excited to intro the famous Sentosa's "lok lok". It a mini van that sell assorted food. You can either dip in the boiling water yourself or ask the uncle to bbq for you. Then you will be charge depending on the colour of your satay stick. Very unique and I never miss to eat lok lok everytime I go Sentosa. Very popluar and crowded, the van. I had once thought of using the concept in Singapore. But you know lah, all the ISO and HACCP standard in Singapore, it never really prove quite pratical.

Last thing to mention, city square shopping center quite there leh. They selling thing quite trendy now. The shop design can 'qie' Singapore 77th street lah. I photoed one quite unique shop in the 'inner city' inside city square.

OBS sailing course

OBS Sailing adventure course rock my socks!!! Like totally...

"Nehru' group photo

I really learn and bring back a lots of value back for this 5 days course. That's what a professional camp should be right? A lesson I picked up, don't be complacent. There's always a new experience in everything. Even going through the same thing, you will get a different experience. Never stop learning. Don't be complacent!!

Speaking back on the camp itself, the main highlight of course is able to sail a cutter ship.

Cutter is operated by a team of few people. One captain in charge of looking for wind direction, as the ship basically used wind to sail distance. A few will have to control the main sail, which was used to capture the wind for acceleration. Aiya, basically my description sucks lah. Just use your imagination..

Wah, its very exciting when you are sailing through the stormy weather I tell you. The boat sway till the tip like its almost going to capsize. Then the wind so strong and unpredictable, we had to react like super fast as to manage to sail in our desired direction without head onto some other ship around us. It damn exciting and to me as I had a chance to be in a captain post. Its a once in a life time experience, I am so glad I went to this course.

Another highlight of the course, rock climbing!! Of course not, haha.. Although no chance to try it but we did try the "honor" jump. We suppose to climb up a 3 storey high plaform and jump to a bar 2m away from us, while shouting our vision for our future. Muthafucker, its damn scary lah, okie lah.. Call me ball-less or ah gua loh.. I always is so gay one mah.

Okie, I think I stop bothering you all with my wordy post.. Just a quote for you to ponder about tonight.

《儒效篇》荀子曰:

"不闻不若闻之,闻之不若见之,见之不若知之,知之不若行之;学至于行之而止矣。"

"Not hearing is not as good as hearing, hearing is not as good as seeing, seeing is not as good as mentally knowing, mentally knowing is not as good as acting; true learning continues up to the point that action comes forth (or, only when a thing produces action can it be said to have been truly learned)."

"what I hear, I forget. what I see, I remember. what I do, I learn.

*UPDATED*

a write out of my journal during OBS

Day 1:

Yesterday was the first day. We played the acid pool. I realized that communication was very important, if everyone rushed to be the leader, then who's going to be the follower that carrys out the task? 2nd game we had to complete a random puzzle. It was actually a full story, each of us carries 2 pieces of the puzzle. No one else can see anyone's puzzle except for yourself seeing the 2 pieces that you are holding. You can describe your pieces and get the puzzle arranged in the correct order. Communication and invlovement is very important here. If everyone is to give their 100% but one gives 0%. The whole story of puzzle is not going to be completed. Everyone had to participant in the game. At least that was what it seem to tell me.

Day 2:

2nd morning, I already regretted coming to OBS. It's not the course that turns me off, its myself. I am just so sick of camps. Seriously, what can I bring out from this camp? I will wait and see.

A story from the instructor - There were is pencil maker. He made a lot of pencil and just before he send this pencil to the market to sell, he told one of the pencil. "It's what inside that is more important. But you only expose your inside only when you go through bitterly sharpening. People only realize your potential if you allow yourself to be in other people's hand. If you make a mistake, fear not. Because there will always be an eraser around. Never be afraid to leave staces of life whenever you go because that's why you are make for."

Day 3:

Yesterday, I had the chance to sail a cutter. It wasn't all that exciting, because the instructor is on board with us. He will always be there to correct us and not let us be sailing in the wrong directions. Everthing was spoon fed to us till the moment I became the captain of the cutter myself. I had the power to overturn the boat, It was that serious. A wrong move at a wrong timing that cause unimaginable diseaster.

Day 4:

I had been counting down day 4. My shit is at my throat already. I had not been shitting for the past 3 days. Tini snore fucking loud last night. There was a big storm, boat swaying up and down, and I am very bored of sailing.

Day 5:

Finally, came the last day. I don't miss the OBS course itself, but I definitely missed my watches that accompanied me these few days. The sailing course was exciting when we were going through storm and huge tides. Where the cutter swayed almost the the tip of the boat. Felt like going to overturn. Very exciting. Yesterday night walk was so so. Because I had went through worst situation. But I know its a very good effort on the committee/ instructor sides. Overall, this course still took way a few of my 'first time'. Liek urine into the sea on a cutter, Waiting to jump into the sea early in the morning to kiss the tip of the boat to ensure a safe journey. First time bathing in a quary. First time eating dinner with our hand tied. Overall I took away some ideas on how to better organize my next camp for people. Like their morning 'greeting' was very interesting. The way, they give quotes during debriefs. Some interesting stories. All these idea gives me idea to better organize my next camp.

Follow by the honor jump which I am one of the two in the watch that able to grab the pole.

"You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore"

- OBS entrance quotes -

Now I am packing my bad for OBS. I am excited yet not very looking forward to the camp. But I suppose I need to go with an open mind and enjoy myself to the max. It once in a life time experience. As if...

Today, suppose to meet up with Lorjean, but she put areoplane, saying that her mother in law wants her over their house for dinner. And she needs to curry flavor her. So end up I went to beach road alone to help them buy solid fuel..

After which I crossed over to golden mile and emo. Walk around with a lot of Thai people. I alone sit down one corner and eat some Thai food and Thai beer :) At least I still manage to try some thai food although thailand trip postphoned. I got take photo but too lazy to post up. Maybe in my next post.

I will be away for 5 days. Don't miss me so much ")

Xiang Yun 18th Bday celebration

First of all, an advance happy 18th birthday to Xiang Yun which will be on the 5th of Oct. Hmm, anyway, she gonna spend it with V_ _ CE _ T

Honestly, I began to think that my blog had nothing better to post except for birthday celebrations. Haha

We, main com met at Aljunied MRT as we were going to eat frog leg congee at gelyang. I think basically we walked almost to kallang MRT before we decided to have it at Lor 9. One of the frog leg congee stall, although not the most famous along gelyang.

Total $60.50 for 9 persons, hmm, I consider cheap already. But in the end, we ordered 7 big bottle of Tiger which made the total bill very expensive. Our objective is to get Xiang Yun drunk lah. But no matter how hard we tried, she doesn't seem to get any tipsy :(

We ordered 7 bottle of tiger o_O

XYXY guide to "da" a mug of beer

you smile while cam-whoring,
then you pour to your heart content,
follow by gluping it mercilessly ,
finally, overturn the mug and claim your glory.

After dinner, we went around the infamous Lor 18 to see pros in fish tanks. This Lor is famous for drinker to patronize late at night for a quickie. We split into 2 grp and walked all the way to the "Fei Long" hotel. "Fei Long" hotel is a area where most of the China pros were standing.

We witness a motor accident!

Gamble den was just beside Lor 18. Totally treat policeman attending the accident non-existence.

As we bottoms' up 7 bottle of tiger, we all were rushing for toilet. And you know girls all hated dirty toilet, so we strike a bulb and suggest that we might as well dutch an 1 hour stay in hotel 81. Average one person $1 nia. And each of us have 6 minute to urine plus can bath in bathtube. Okie lame (-_-)''''

After everything, we head back to gallang MRT where we had a surprise cake for Xiang Yun. Camwhore a bit and then, we started to have a cake war. Objective is to get everyone as dirty as possible :)

Due to the messiest, we only manage to snap XY picture.

a jump shot as finale

Home sweet home,

going to prepare for tomorrow's OBS briefing.

30th Spet Celebration

30th Sept, we had a stream boat at my house. It really exclusive sittings, and due to the size of my steam boat, I can only invite 3 person to my house...

After the dinner, we gambled black jack. Although I didn't win/lose much.

Thanks Liping for initialing to share my bday cake with Shihao, very nice!!

This is my mum. The best mum in the whole world :)

I wished for ".....", better dun say, wait cannot come true..

My present from Liping, I like them, thanks

Oh yeah. I was about to tell you all how much beer we had. What you see here is our 2nd round.

We had 6 cans becks for first round. Which is 330ml * 6 = 1980ml

Then we had 9 cans of anchor for second round. 500ml * 9 = 4500ml

Total = 6480ml equivalent to 6.5L of beer. A freaking lot of beer can?

Then we spent the night watching DVD. The red cliff and another horror thai Movie then we gossip till morning. After which, I am the first person to "knock out"
